Pliko Switch FAQs
Q. Will the Pliko Switch stroller accommodate a car seat?
A. Yes. It was designed to hold the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 car seat, which can be attached directly to the chassis.
Q. Can another brand of car seat be used with the Pliko Switch?
A. No. The Pliko Switch will only accommodate a Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 car seat.
Q. Where will I find the model number of my Pliko Switch?
A. There are two model numbers: one is located under the seat on the left seat rail, the other is located on the chassis of the stroller under the seat.
Q. Can my older child stand on the back of the Pliko Switch stroller?
A. Yes, as long as the weight of the child—or of two children occupying the stroller at the same time—does not exceed 45 pounds. The built-in footboard at the rear of the stroller is designed to let a child stand on it for short rides. Of course, you should never allow your child to do so unattended.
Q. Will my Pliko Switch stroller accept two adult cup holders?
A. Yes. One holder is provided with your stroller. To purchase an additional cup holder, please call Customer Service at (800) 671-1701.
Q. Can I take my Pliko Switch on an airplane?
A. Yes. However, we recommend that you remove the adult cup holder so it doesn’t get lost during the flight. We also suggest that you place the stroller in our specially-designed Air Transport Sack travel bag, which you can purchase by calling Customer Service at (800) 671-1701.
Q. How do I open my Pliko Switch stroller?
A. It’s easy:
1. Grab both handles and, with one finger on each hand, pull up on the silver release levers at the same time. You’ll feel the stroller unfold and open.
2. Pull the handles up and out slightly until the stroller locks in a fully open, standing position.
Q. How do I close my Pliko Switch stroller?
A. The stroller can be easily folded in any of three ways: with the seat attached in either direction or with it removed. To fold:
1. Lock the front wheels by lifting the silver lever above each wheel, then close the hood.
2. In one continuous motion, pull back on the silver release lever of each stroller handle until you see the red dot and push down on the handles to release the side tubes.
3. Grab the loop handle (located just above the built-in footboard) and pull it up with one swift motion until it locks closed. The stroller will stand upright without support.
4. 3. If the seat is in the rear-facing position, be sure the backrest is fully raised before folding the stroller; once it’s folded, lower it.
Q. How do I attach the stroller seat onto the Pliko Switch?
A. It’s easy to attach the seat facing forward or backward. Place the seat on the frame so that the matching symbols are aligned, then press down with both hands until you hear two “clicks” as each side locks in place. Make sure the seat is correctly secured by pulling it upwards; it should not move.
Q. How do I remove the seat from the Pliko Switch frame?
A. With one hand on each side of the seat, press down on the buttons with your thumbs and pull both handles up until the seat releases.
Q. Why doesn’t the five-point seat belt stay in the loop on the seatback?
A. The concept is to secure the child in the seat but still allow “Freedom of Movement.” The loop is intended only to hold the seat belt conveniently in place while you strap your child into it. Once that’s done, you may remove the belt from the loop so your child can move about freely, comfortably and securely.
Q. Can I purchase the Pliko Switch directly from Peg Perego?
A. No, but it’s easy to find an authorized retailer in your area by clicking on our Where To Buy button (located at the bottom of every page on our website).
Q. What items are included with the purchase of a Pliko Switch?
A. The Pliko Switch Completo includes a frame, the stroller seat, a large adjustable hood, an adult cup holder, a boot and a rain cover.
Q. In what fabrics/upholstery/colors is the Pliko Switch available?
A. The Pliko Switch is currently available in Tango and Moka.
Q. Is the handlebar reversible on the Pliko Switch?
A. The handlebar is not reversible, but you can quickly and easily reverse the stroller seat to face either direction.
Q. How much does the basket hold?
A. The basket will hold up to 11 pounds.
